I wanted to tell you a little bit about Fly Piggy Clothing, and why I love it so much.
The line was founded by Lavell Hewitt. He fought his way out of homelessness and designed a clothing line to help others in need. Which is why 10% of every purchase is donated to help eradicate homelessness. Their mission is "helping to eradicate homelessness one T-Shirt at a time."
I was approached in July 2013 by Kelly Walton, who asked if I would like to model for their line.. I immediately agreed and went to Atlanta for the shoot. I fell in love with the clothing right away. They had everyone dress in their own style, but with something Fly Piggy. So of course I have Combat boots on in almost every single photo :) I loved that they made the clothing line real, so that when people look at it they can imagine themselves in it. They dont have stick thin models, and super crazy clothing you wouldn't wear on a daily basis. They have clothing you can wear whenever and be comfortable. I loved it, and wanted to take alllllll of it home with me!
(Personally, the Piggy sweatshirt is my favorite. Just saying)
Being part of a clothing line since the first shoot, and walking a runway to expose it to the world for the first time is a huge opportunity. I can't wait to see what they have coming out next, and where the line will be going. So if you haven't taken a look at them yet, I highly recommend it.
